System of the Chambers of Commerce

  • Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Navigation: There are currently 88 territorial Chambers of Commerce whose goal is to foster economic development in their areas by supporting companies.

  • High Council of Chambers: Represents the 88 Spanish Chambers of Commerce at the national and international levels. Acts as the interlocutor with bodies of the national government. Coordinates the actions and initiatives of the Chamber of Commerce networks and fosters relations between them.

The Spanish Chambers of Commerce are members of Eurochambres, an association that encompasses the Chambers of Commerce of 45 European countries. It has a network of 2,000 local and regional Chambers of Commerce representing more than 19 million businesses in Europe.

This European network is coordinated with the world Chamber of Commerce network, forming a framework of more than 100,000 institutions whose aim is to promote general business interests.

  • Regional Chamber of Commerce Councils: Bodies entrusted with coordinating territorial Chambers of Commerce and their activities and initiatives. They are the interlocutors with regional and autonomous administrations. They cooperate with the groups who contribute to economic development and influence action and investment priorities.
